Design theorist John Lang has said "Space becomes place when you go there often."

 

That may be true, but there has to be more to it than that.

 

I believe that within the context of the built environment, space becomes place when the designer has provided an outlet for an emotional connection. 

 

I believe in the power of good design and I believe that well designed spaces can make our world a more enjoyable place.

I believe designers do more than create spaces. 

​

They provide the setting for the moments when space becomes place.
